1. Undercover Princess

In so many of my favorite holiday romances, there’s a prince or princess pretending to be a commoner. This book title makes me think of the movie The Prince and Me where Edvard is outed as a prince!

Publisher: Penguin
Pages: 464

2. The Wicked Truth

After reading The Wicked Truth, I can see this headline being sent to the press by Madigan’s overprotective older brother, Blaine, revealing her man’s “shady” past.

Publisher: World Literary Press
Pages: 380

3. Switched

This almost always appears as a “Switched at Birth” type of headline. Though I haven’t read this book by Amanda Hocking yet, I believe it centers around a girl who is switched at birth with a human child. Imagine a human being switched with a fairy or other creature at birth! Now that’s a story!

4. Twisted Secrets

Ooooh, Twisted Secrets, huh? That would make a fantastic headline! Somebody’s been stealing money, or there’s a surprise baby born to a billionaire oil tycoon! How exciting would that headline be?!

Publisher: Forever
Pages: 336

5. Jingle Wars

I loved the book Jingle Wars so much and I could see this headline in a You’ve Got Mail-type of battle between two shops! Right around Christmas time, of course!

Publisher: Independently Published
Pages: 304

6. American Royals

I think, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, we have our very own version of this headline popping up in the press. There’s definitely something news-worthy about royals with ties to America. I’m slightly enamored with the royal family and would pick up any headline shouting about “American Royals”!

Publisher: Ember
Pages: 464

7. Hot Mess Summer

If you handed me a newspaper with the headline reading “Hot Mess Summer!”, I would pick it up in a heartbeat! I imagine this newspaper article would be full of scandal and paparazzi photos.

Publisher: Montlake
Pages: 363

8. The Mad King

(Not pictured) Even though this is a fantasy/fairytale-y book, I think “The Mad King” would be a fantastic headline! And imagine the story behind the headline – a King who is maybe new to the throne and has gone completely off his rocker? Wow!

Goodreads | Amazon | Bookshop
Publisher: Jovee Winters Publishing
Pages: 362

9. The Accidental Invasion

For some reason, my brain conjures up images of a War of the Worlds-type newspaper article, announcing the invasion of aliens! But then mix that with a cartoon-style idiot invader who didn’t really mean to … something from a 90s cartoon, maybe!

Goodreads | Amazon | Bookshop
Publisher: Harry N. Abrams
Pages: 304

10. Fallen Heir

(Not pictured) If you know anything about my reading style, you know I have a serious thing for royals. And, while I wasn’t really a fan of this book in The Royals series, I am always drawn to magazine or newspaper articles that focus on the royals. And “Fallen Heir”? Oh yea, I’d read that!

Goodreads | Amazon | Bookshop
Publisher: Berkley
Pages: 352

For the record, I’m not much of a fan of the press. Prying into a person’s private life just to get a story is a sleazy way to make a living. That doesn’t mean I’m not intrigued when I see a catchy headline and a story that peaks my interest.
